Recorded live in person at the Columbus Marathon Expo Saturday, October 18 at 3pm.
Daryl “Stretch” Murphy is a runner and community leader from Columbus, Ohio. During the pandemic he started a grassroots initiative “Miles For Justice” where he embarked on a 5k a day run streak to raise money and awareness for social causes. The mission of Miles For Justice is to advance more equitable communities through education and athletics. Across three fundraising campaigns the initiative has raised more than $20,000 from more than 300 donors. The run streak is still going strong and he has now run more than 2,000 consecutive days in a row including 7 marathons and one trail ultra marathon.
Murphy also leads the Easton Run Club in Columbus, OH which is a weekly community walk & run that encourages people of all fitness levels to get moving no matter their pace or experience. He practices yoga with his wife and takes his daughter on stroller runs several days a week. Follow him on all social platforms @stretchmurphy.
